Well, November is finally over (it has NOT been a good month....), and here's December, the somewhat better winter month which includes my birthday, Xmas, and my most profitable con of the year!
November after FCCC stayed pretty uneventful, aside from the Santa Claus parade (and winter struck with a vengeance that day. Not the smartest thing I have ever done to walk a parade in a pantsless costume, all while with a bad cold).
I'm plenty busy this month as well as the previous; on top of AA restock, personal costumes, a commission and some last Xmas things to make, I also have the Fan Days Holiday Show on the 10th (inconveniently, also my birthday. Sigh). I'm also waiting for news if I got into Frostcon's Artist Alley (since the announcing is supposed to be this week, I'll edit my journal with the results when it comes up), and I found out Genrecon is off hiatus and with new management this February, so as the convention is still pretty darn cheap to attend as a local and I was sorely missing Guelph cons this year, since ALL of the ones I used to attend were no longer there, I'll be applying for that one as well. It'll be an insane time crunch between the two if I get into both as they're a scant two weeks apart, but I'm sure I can power through that scenario. And, still no vendor info released for Ad-Astra yet. If I don't see it by January, time to send an actual inquiry.
As for what I'm attending this month? Fan Days Holiday Show, event here- www.facebook.com/events/958469…
I'll be wearing my casual Commander Shepard, and as it's both Xmas season and my birthday, I'll be giving away your choice of these little mochi cuties to any purchase of $30 or more!
My full sell list will be up the monday before the con.
'Fraid there's really not much else to say, I've been too uneventfully busy this past month. Also, a few new product photos will come soon, the new things should be done by this weekend!
And the last con and cosplay list in this form until January:
December: Toronto Fan Days Holiday Show (It USED to be called DTAC....), December 10 (AA. And I guess this year, my birthday is December 11 for all effective purposes...)
And, my cosplay plans for the year;
Made and debuted in 2016:
-Nelvana of the Northern Lights. Debuted for a winter photoshoot, publicly at March Toronto Comicon, competed and won with at Ad-Astra and worn again at the Guelph Santa Claus parade.
-Tali'Zorah, Mass Effect 2 suit. Debuted and competed with (and won!) at Anime North.
-Skyrim Dark Brotherhood Shrouded Robes, debuted for an autumn photoshoot and publicly at Forest City Comicon.
-Anastasia court dress, planned for CostumeCon 35 next April.
-Heather from Dragons: Race to the Edge, planned for either CostumeCon35, or Anime North in May if not done in time.
Rewearing in 2015:
-Twilight Sparkle gijinka (Anime North, and the cosplay picnic)
-Casual FemShep cosplay (almost all conventions I'm AAing at)
-Motoko Kusanagi (Anime North)

Updates and things
Well, since my last journal entry it's been a roller coaster thanks to this pandemic. CostumeCon was cancelled when hubby and I were just an hour away from arriving. We stayed a few days in Montreal to enjoy the museums and see friends and try to make the best of it anyway, but alas, no vindication for the months of work on my costumes and no photos either.
Since then, most of my events have been cancelled up to summer so far. Gryphcon cancelled, Halton Hills Fanfest cancelled, Ad-Astra cancelled, even Anime North (no skin off my back as I hadn't planned to attend anyway if I didn't get off the waitlist, but still, that's the first time in
Gone to CostumeCon!
As the title says, I'll be in Montreal for CostumeCon this weekend, and as we're driving there over two days each way (when only one of you drives, an eight hour trip through three major cities isn't much fun if you try to make it in a day), and basically gone for the week. But at least I should have some pictures when I get back! I haven't been hunkered down in the studio for months doing nothing but working on the two costumes not to take any pictures or video.
Also, my next confirmed con for vending will be Ad-Astra, back to the first weekend of May, but another two small events before that are likely (just not confirmed yet). I'm also
I'm back, at least for now!
I've been gone a while, so long I had the awful new Eclipse format foisted on me when I logged back in again (YUCK. Glad the option to keep the old format is still there. It does NOT work.)
So, yeah. I'm alright, mostly, but I was both busy as heck through the fall and winter, burned out on social media and the cumbersome uploading for dA, and often lacking in new stuff to upload or good photo setups to get pictures of new stock, so I kind of let my account fall right out for the last couple months. But I've caught up on things again, so hopefully now I can get back to putting stuff on it.
SO, I had a busy summer of outdoor faires and in
August updates, yeah I'm late again
July's gone, now it's August, and apologies for the delays again, I've been both busy and a bit burned out on the online part of my artistry so I haven't done much on any of the social media for the last few weeks.
So, cons and events. This month I have my summer hilight of the Coldwater Steampunk festival, for fun again and no vendor's table. I have a new outfit, though, I'm looking forward to finally having some new photos!
I don't think I have a chance at Waterloo's Royal Medieval faire at this point due to the complete non-communication that's gone on and it now only being about 7 weeks away, so at the moment I have no idea what I'll
